Modular Fabrication

An architectural signage system provides a series of changeable signs to direct, identify, regulate and inform occupants in a facility. Modular signs are both sustainable and easy to maintain. When change inevitably happens, you can update by simply replacing the message, not the entire sign. This adaptability helps preserve your wayfinding investment for years to come.

For signs requiring frequent changes, we offer window inserts with paper you can change instantly by printing in-house. For facilities with sign shops, we can provide blank inserts for easy updates.

What is Wayfinding?

Wayfinding is the process of directing people through a physical space. At 2/90, we offer signs for every purpose, location and type of wayfinding you can imagine.  All linked through aesthetic consistency.  All crafted to exact specifications. All prepared to change as needed.

What Functions Do Signs Play?

Signs perform four basic functions: identify, regulate, inform and direct. All of the signs must work together to guide people through a building.

Identification signs indicate key locations, room numbers, people's names, titles and departments.

Regulatory signs assure safety and compliance with local building codes. They restrict people from entering potentially dangerous or hazardous rooms such as electrical closets and laboratories. They enhance safety by marking elevators, stairwells and evacuation routes.

Information signs display messages such as meeting locations and dates of upcoming events. They welcome visitors, announce business hours and more.

Directional signs guide people, for example through a directory of department names and room numbers, or an overhead sign marked with the name of a department and a directional arrow.

IDENTIFICATION SIGNS

In today's dynamic workplace, few people spend their entire careers with a single company.  Faced with mergers, consolidations and continuous rightsizing, few companies maintain the exact same facility plan over an extended period of time. Modular identification signs offer an efficient and economical way to keep your sign program current in the midst of ongoing change.

Identification Signs include:

People and Room Signs

A variety of ADA-compliant configurations let you choose signs that show name only, name and title, name and room number, name and photo, room number only, room number and room name.  Smart Strips provide additional messaging capabilities.

Department Signs

Department signs can be made in all shapes and sizes. Talk to us about your specific needs, and we'll be happy to suggest the designs that will work for you.

REGULATORY SIGNS

When it comes to pointing out exits, stairways, evacuation routes, fire extinguishers and other regulatory locations, signs must communicate quickly and clearly. With crisp letters and universally recognized graphics, 2/90 regulatory signs provide comprehensive safety identification that can be recognized at a glance. Our decades of sign design and manufacturing experience ensure that regulatory requirements are met throughout your facility.

DIRECTIONAL SIGNS

Directional signs help people interpret and navigate building surroundings, using directional arrows or suite numbers. A good directional sign often does its job quietly moving people to, through and out of spaces without calling attention to itself.
